Please take notice that the Town of Conesus Town Board will hold its 2017 Regular Meetings on the first and third Tuesday of every month except as noted:

                January 12 and 24

                February 7 and 21

                April 4 and 18

                May 2 and 16

                June 6 and 20

                July 11 and 25

                August 8

                September 5 and 19

                October 3 and 17

                November 2 (Thursday) and 14

                December 5 and 26 

 

All Town Board Meetings will be held at the Town of Conesus Town Hall, 6210 South Livonia Rd., (Route 15) Conesus, NY 14435 unless otherwise posted with Regular Meetings commencing at 7:00pm and bill/voucher review at 6:30PM.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – LOCAL LAW NO. 2 2017 TO AMEND THE CONESUS TOWN CODE AT PART II, “GENERAL LEGISLATION,” CHAPTER 155 “ZONING,” ARTICLE I – “GENERAL PROVISIONS,” SECTION 155-3 “DEFINITIONS AND WORD USE” BY MODIFYING THE DEFINITION OF “LEGACY BUSINESS””

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a proposed Local Law is under consideration by the Town Board of the Town of Conesus, Livingston County, New York, to amend the Conesus Town Code as follows:

 

Conesus Town Code at Part II, “General Legislation,” Chapter 155 “Zoning,” Article I – “General Provisions,” Section 155-3 “Definitions and word use” shall be amended to modify:

 

LEGACY BUSINESS-  An operational business that existed before Zoning was adopted in the town, has continued to operate since that time, and subsequently was considered to be non-conforming to zoning law at the time zoning was enacted.  to A business that existed at the time zoning was first enacted in the town (1970) and subsequently was considered to be pre-existing non-conforming to the zoning law at the time zoning was first enacted. A legacy business must have remained operational, with a similar use, for a minimum of thirty years after zoning was first enacted. Single family and two-family homes used as residential rentals are excluded from this definition."

 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said proposed Local Law is on file in the Town of Conesus Town Clerk’s Office located at the Conesus Town Hall, 6210 South Livonia Road, Conesus, New York.

 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing upon said proposed Local Law was held on the 25th day July, 2017, at 7:05 p.m., and will be held open through the Meeting scheduled to be held on 8th day of August 2017 by the Conesus Town Board at the Conesus Town Hall, located at 6210 South Livonia Road, Conesus, New York.

 

An opportunity to be heard in regard to this proposed Local Law will then and there be given.  Written comments may also be directed to the Annette McNinch, Town of Conesus Town Clerk, Conesus Town Hall, 6210 South Livonia Road, Conesus, New York 14435, on or before 4:30 p.m. on the 11th day of August, 2017.  The Conesus Town Hall has barrier-free access for the physically handicapped, and any such handicapped person seeking transportation to said Public Hearing may contact the Town of Conesus Town Clerk during regular business hours.
