  2. Grievance Day for the Town of Conesus is Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Conesus Town Hall
  3. Bio of Keith and Debbie Tucker, Town of Conesus Seniorama Honorees 2017:

The Conesus Senior Club and the Town of Conesus are pleased to honor Keith and Debbie Tucker as Seniorama Honorees for 2017.  Keith and Debbie were high school sweethearts and have been married 53 years.  The couple moved to the old Boyd homestead 30 years ago.  They have 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.  Keith retired from the U.S. Postal Service.  Debbie retired from the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital.  Upon retirement, they began putting many years of veggie, berry and flower-growing experience to work developing what has grown into the Olde Silo Farm.  Through their work on the farm, Keith and Debbie have met many community needs:

Overproduction on the farm has enabled donation of almost 2300 lbs. of fresh   produce to the “Sent by Ravens Food Pantry” in Livonia.

Children are frequent visitors to the farm, where they can pick berries, flowers, veggies, and learn about growing plants.

The “You Pick Bouquet” program makes flowers available for the cost of a free-will donation, 100% of which is donated to support the Livonia High School Musical program.  Sixteen hundred dollars ($1600.00) has been donated thus far.

The farm provides work experiences and community service opportunities for teens and young adults.

The Tuckers attend the Conesus United Methodist Church where they enjoy being choir members and leading the Youth Group.  They actively follow Livonia High School Sports and attend as many games as their schedule will allow.  Keith and Debbie feel strongly that their community and the people in it will hold a very special place in their hearts forever.

  4. New York State Office for the Aging Senior Citizen's Day Recognition 2017: Recognizing Senior Livingston County Residents Who Demonstrate the Power of Making a Difference Nominees must be Livingston County residents, 60 years of age or older, who have impacted the quality of life in Livingston County through civic engagement/volunteerism.  Congratulations to Nancy Loucks, runner up in the Livingston County nomination.

Nancy volunteers for the Senior Companion Program and has been with the program for 2 years. As a Senior Companion, she provides transportation and in-home companionship and support to older adults in need.

Additionally, Nancy currently volunteers with the Conesus Fire Department. She was Captain of Fire Police for 17 years, President for 2 years and was a Director for 13 years. While no longer in a leadership role, she continues volunteering with the Fire Department. Nancy also volunteers with Conesus Lake Association as a representative for her neighborhood. She is a former Emergency Responder Support Services volunteer for Livingston County, she continues to volunteer at Lakeville United Church of Christ, is a member of the Volunteer Fire Police of the State of NY, member of the Fireman's Association of the State of NY, and past president of the Livingston County Volunteer Fire Police Association as well.

Nancy was born and lived her first years in Portland, Maine. Nancy has worked as a school bus driver, was the Director of Transportation at the Arlington Cancer Center and was in charge of all of Central Supply for Arlington for two years following her 10 years with the Transportation department.

She and her husband, Dale recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. From the Rochester area originally, Dale brought Nancy to visit in 1987 and Nancy invested in retirement property in Conesus. Following semi-retirement, they moved here in 1997 where they purchased 4 additional acres. Nancy, Dale and their two pups live in Conesus. While she was born in Maine, Nancy grew up in Murry, NY. Dale and Nancy have 2 rescue dogs, Risky age 2 and Buddy, age 16. Risky was adopted from rescue agency — and was an abused dog. Buddy was "adopted" by Nancy and Dale at the age of 16 as his owner (one of Nancy's Senior Companion client's) could no longer care for him.
