Maintenance and Improvement:
Status Report: Supervisor Donohue
- We were unsuccessful for the third time in
receiving one of the Greater Rochester Health Foundation grants in the spring
2017 cycle. At the last meeting,
Supervisor Donohue introduced the possibility of the town going ahead with this
project regardless of funding. We are
interested in installing five independent play items at Ricky Greene Memorial
Park: a log roll, a track ride, a four section
climbing wall, a spin about, and a tetherball game. The cost was first quoted as $19979. APC Play reduced the cost at my request (due
to not getting the grant) to $19,357. A second request to lower the cost further
resulted in a quote for $18,857. This is
an additional discount offered by APC Play if approved by May 19.
- Betty Greene reported that the Kelleman log
cabin at Ricky Greene Memorial Park is showing signs of rot. She is requesting
that the Town Board seeks restoration advice and services.
- Norm Sparks, Caretaker for Arnold Cemetery, has
reported that there is a section near the front of the cemetery that needs to
- Bob Nilsson has reported that there is a
retaining wall for scrap metal in need of repair at the recycling center. The ticket booth will need to be replaced or
have major overhaul soon. The employees
at the center have been saving up lumber for repairs to this building.
- Approval of Debra Tucker as an alternate for the
Zoning Board of Appeals
